Chia pudding anyone?

Chia seeds are considered to be a superfood due to their amazing nutritional qualities.

Chia seeds contain antioxidants, iron, omega 3, fibres, protein, calcium, vitamins and minerals.

My favourite way to consume chia seeds, and I do that quite often may I add, is for breakfast in the form of chia pudding.

Here is how to prepare my favourite recipe:

Soak two full table spoons of chia seeds overnight in clean water or plant milk for best health benefit. Leave it in the fridge and take it out in the morning – it will have that jelly like, light consistency. Stir it well if it is not even and add your favourite fresh chopped fruits. My choice are bananas, strawberries, blueberries or raspberries. Preferably all of them. :) You can add whatever fruit you like to this pudding. Add also other nuts or raisins if you wish. Stir it well and enjoy.

Another way to prepare this pudding is to add the chia, liquid of your choice and the fruits to soak together overnight. You could also add frozen fruits in this option if that is the fruit you have at home. In the morning, you will discover that this will give extra sweetness and infusion to the mix.

As well as tasting amazing, being the one of the best foods one can give their body, and being a light option for breakfast to start the day, I found this pudding to be one of the best alternatives to cereal in the supermarkets. Cereals in the most part have poor nutritional value and are full of sugar. I make sure I always read the labels before consuming any of that.

I found a breakfast made from scratch using chia and fruits to be one of the best choices I could make for the start of the day.
